Laurie Ahrens

Since 2003, Laurie Ahrens has been a Laboratory Technician at the Darrin Fresh Water Institute, an environmental research division of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In 2004, she earned her Open Water SCUBA certification in order to better contribute to the Lake George Tributary Survey, and has assisted in plant identification for various other lake surveys. In addition to helping with coliform analyses, Laurie performs analyses for nutrients utilizing UV/Vis spectrophotometer, chlorophyll on fluorometer, anions by chromatography, and metals/cations on the atomic absorption spectrophotometer.
