Mark Lucius

Mark Lucius is a Senior Research Specialist for the Jefferson Project at Lake George. Mark works on the Jefferson Project's Sensor Network; a collection of hundreds of sensors measuring thousands of environmental parameters at high frequency, while using IoT technology to inform research in real time. During his time at RPI, he has been tasked with solving stimulating problems, such as creating user-friendly web apps for IoT devices and sensors or developing ways to collect high-frequency water quality data when ice and snow make in situ sensor deployment impossible. He has also developed valuable skills in programming; both for the automation and control of sensors and for the analysis and quality control of large data sets.
